A New Community

Ær Queen

We are creating a new space on Facebook for all of our previous session participants, and for all of our potential future participants too!

Our goal with this community is to make a space to continue the conversation, share resources, and give teachers a space to share their ideas and inclusive practices. Our hope is that this space can also be used to demonstrate the importance of our work to administrators and other stakeholders.

Our new community is Gender Intersections, just like our website!

Join our new community here.

What are the guidelines for our new space?

  1. No Hate Speech or Bullying. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about any historically marginalized group or individual person will result in an immediate ban from the group.

  2. It's like Vegas, sort of. You may share information regarding being inclusive of transgender students that you learn from this group! You may not share screen shots or personal information about individual members, their questions, stories, or narratives outside this group.

  3. Self-ID. When asking or answering a question, please self-identify your positionality as it relates to the topic at hand. For example: "I am a transgender nonbinary teacher."

  4. Photos. All photos must include a written photo description. No photos of children's faces will be permitted.

  5. Everyone can learn here. We believe everyone is working to do better, and everyone is at a different point in their journey. If someone makes a mistake or says something that you wouldn't: respond with grace and assume best intentions.

We are excited for this new part of our own journey in this work, please come and join the conversation!
